Terms of Service
Last updated · July 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (‘Terms’) form a binding agreement between you and Domainry (‘we’, ‘us’). By creating an account, browsing listings, or transacting on the platform you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Domainry.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the security of your credentials, and every action taken under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the marketplace.
2. Listings, sales & leases
Sellers warrant that they own, or are authorised to transfer, every domain they list, and that the domain is free of third-party claims. Prices, reserves, lease terms, and durations shown at checkout are binding. A successful sale, winning bid, or accepted lease creates a binding contract between buyer and seller; Domainry facilitates the transaction but is not itself the seller.
3. Auctions
- Auctions run for the duration selected at creation (3, 7, or 14 days) and may be scheduled to start immediately or within 5 days.
- Bids are binding offers to purchase at the bid amount plus applicable fees.
- If a reserve price is set and not met, the seller is not obliged to complete the sale.
- Retracting or refusing to honour a winning bid may result in fees, suspension, or removal from the platform.
4. Fees, payments & taxes
Marketplace fees, closing fees, promotion prices, and membership tier pricing are displayed on the pricing page and inside each flow. Payments are processed through Stripe; by transacting you also accept Stripe’s terms. You are responsible for any taxes, VAT, GST, or duties arising from your sales, rentals, or promotions.
5. Domain transfer & escrow
Sellers must initiate transfer of a sold domain within 5 business days of payment confirmation. Rentals require the seller to point the domain to the buyer’s nameservers or configured DNS within 3 business days. Where escrow is used, funds are released to the seller only after the buyer confirms successful transfer or the escrow window closes without dispute.
6. Advertise-my-domain listings
Users may submit third-party domains for rental via the ‘Advertise my domain’ flow. You warrant that you control or are authorised by the registrant, and that any monthly lease terms you advertise are accurate. Domainry may remove any submission that appears misleading, infringing, or spammy.
7. Prohibited conduct
See the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no fraud, no infringement, no shill bidding, no scraping, no malware, no misuse of another registrant’s trademark.
8. Intellectual property
Domainry, the wordmark, brass gavel device, art-deco visual identity, and site copy are our intellectual property. Listing content that you submit remains yours, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display, cache, and syndicate it as needed to operate the marketplace.
9. Third-party services
We integrate with Stripe (payments), Supabase (data & auth), Humbleworth (valuations), Semrush (SEO reports), and RDAP registries. Their availability affects platform features and their own terms apply where they process your data.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Domainry is provided ‘as is’. We do not warrant that any valuation, SEO estimate, or availability check is accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Domainry against claims arising from your listings, transactions, content, or breach of these Terms.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the account relationship at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (fees owed, IP, disclaimers, limitations, dispute resolution) will do so.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved through the process described in Refunds & Disputes, then submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales unless local mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
