How domain auctions work on Domainry

Every auction in the hall has a starting bid, a clear end time and a public bid history. Place a bid, or set a maximum and let the system bid for you in small steps until your limit is reached.

If a bid arrives in the final minutes, the countdown extends so nobody wins by sniping at the last second. When the timer reaches zero, the highest bidder wins and pays through Domainry, and the domain transfers to their registrar.

Tips before you bid

Decide your top price before the auction starts and check the yearly renewal cost for the extension. Compare the independent valuation shown on each lot with recent sales of similar names.

Sellers can add their own names to the hall from their dashboard.
